ABOUT MY APPROACH

I am in the business of changing lives. Not just treating symptoms, not just giving quick fixes (that often become irrelevant in a few months or years), but actually creating long-term change in the lives of my clients.

How do I do it? By going back to the roots. By doing a little detective work and figuring out where, when, and how your struggle started. By understanding the imperative roles of your brain and body and how they work together to shape your life. When we can capture the full picture of the root of your struggle, we then have the power to make informed and intentional change.

Luckily, some really smart people came before me and laid out the framework for how we can actually do these things. My work relies heavily on the genius of Francine Shapiro and her EMDR treatment model, Stephen Porges and his Polyvagal Theory, Dan Siegel and his pioneering work of Interpersonal Neurobiology, as well as the many others who have dedicated their lives to understanding the relationship between mind and body in the context of trauma (tipping my hat especially to Peter Levine and Bessel van der Kolk).

My job is to take the information from these geniuses and synthesize it within the context of YOU and your life. Together, we can take whatever it is that you struggle with (childhood trauma, self-worth, anxiety, perfectionism, etc.) and make it make sense for you. By that I mean: actually understand how and why you ended up where you are today.

With that comes compassion, empathy, and grace for yourself. Which if you ask me, feels a heck of a lot better than the harsh criticism and judgment we usually give ourselves. From the foundation of empathy and safety, we can build long-lasting change, growth, and healing.

You are worthy of living a life without the weight of the pain you currently carry. You are capable of experiencing joy, contentment, and delight every single day. You have the power to decide what you want out of this life. Together, we can make that your reality!

If you are ready to take the next step to get there, contact me below and let's get to work!
