GROUP TIME & LOCATION:

Wednesdays from 6:15pm-7:15pm in Decatur

  • you're lacking the support of others who have been through similar experiences

  • the generic education around trauma healing doesn't quite fit your experience or needs

  • you can't seem to shake the feeling of disconnection between your mind and body

Then this is the Trauma group for you! 

Our group is designed to go MUCH deeper than a typical Trauma-informed Yoga class. Our goal is provide you with a safe space to address the physical, mental, AND emotional challenges of your trauma healing journey, all in a way that is specifically tailored to your experience and needs. We also believe in the power of group support. You don't have to move through this journey feeling confused, overwhelmed, or alone!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does the group run for?

This is a 12-week closed group, meaning that we ask each member to commit to the group for 12 weeks. Showing up with the same people consistently is what creates the beautiful power of community support!

 

How can I join?

Click here to schedule your free 15-minute consultation call with the group leader, Rebecca Steele. You will fill out a few application questions as you're booking the call. During the consultation call, you and Rebecca will discuss your goals for the group, do a brief physical assessment, and discuss next steps!

What is the cost?

Each 60-minute group session is $35. You can choose to pay per session, or save by paying $385 up front for all 12 group sessions. (Paying in full saves you $35, making one session free!). 

Where is it located?

This group is held at our Decatur office, located at 1244 Clairmont Rd, Suite 102, Decatur, GA.

What happens if I miss a group session?

Although we encourage you to attend as many group sessions as possible to get the most out of this group, we realize that life happens and sometimes you can't make every session! If you have to miss, your group leader will send you any applicable resources from the group session.

How many people are in the group?

This group will have up to 4 group members.

Do I need bodywork or yoga experience to join?

Absolutely not! All of the group sessions will be beginner-friendly and taught with many options offered for the physical movements. We trust you to make the choices that feel best for your body!

ABOUT YOUR GROUP LEADER

Rebecca Steele has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching since 2012. She began her career as a Yoga Therapist in 2013 after being drawn to the field due to personal experiences with Rheumatoid Arthritis, anxiety and mental health conditions in her family. She holds a certification as a Certified Yoga Therapist with The International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) as well as both RYT500 and E-RYT200 with Yoga Alliance. She has worked with clients of all ages, abilities, and conditions. Rebecca is particularly passionate about integrating mental health and trauma work with yoga practice.

ABOUT YOGA THERAPY

Yoga therapy is a holistic healing modality that supports both physical health and mental health through personalized goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices and philosophies.
 

Similar to psychotherapy, yoga therapy utilizes the support of the therapeutic relationship and the benefits of personalized individual care to focus on supporting clients in somatic healing, mind-body wellness, and truly taking care of the whole self.
 

While our yoga therapists are not trained psychotherapists, their services integrate seamlessly with psychotherapy as an adjunct service that supports clients in achieving long-lasting healing.

In Yoga Therapy sessions, we focus on 5 Pillars:

1. breathwork (pranayama)

2. movement (asana)

3. mindfulness & meditation (pratyahara)

4. self-reflection (yamas & niyamas)

5. whole system health advocacy

Using these five pillars in each session, Yoga Therapy will offer you the opportunity to increase your self-awareness in your mind and body, release trapped emotions in your body, and grow physical strength and self-confidence while supporting your unique goals!
