Keeping Calm for Teens: A Mindfulness Group

About the Group

Our mindfulness group is for those searching for balance in their lives. Throughout the six sessions you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn the evidence-based benefits of mindfulness

  • Practice mindfulness exercises that can be used in your daily life

  • Process your mindfulness journey with the group

  • And have access to resources for growing and maintaining your mindfulness journey.

This group is a place to process with others and gain strategies to help find calm in times of change and uncertainty.

This is an open psychoeducational group, which means that participants can sign up for as many of the 6 sessions as they'd like. We highly recommend attending all 6 weeks, or as many as possible, in order to get the most benefit from the curriculum being taught in these groups.

Current Group Times:

Wednesdays from 6:15pm-7:15pm on Zoom

Fridays from 1:15pm-2:15pm on Zoom

Your Group Leader

Sara Cook has been working with kids and teens for the past 10 years. She has been running groups in metro Atlanta schools since 2022.

She is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University and is expected to graduate in Summer 2024.

How long does the group run for?

This is a 6-week open group, meaning that you will sign up individually for each session you'd like to attend. We highly recommend attending all 6 weeks to gain the most benefit!


How can I join?

During the consultation call, you and the group leader will discuss your goals for the group, any questions you have, and next steps for joining!

What is the cost?

This is a FREE group we are offering for a limited time.

Where is it located?

This group is held online via Zoom. The Zoom link for each session will be sent out 1 hour prior to session starting to all those who have registered for that session. Please note that all participants must be located in the state of Georgia during group sessions.

What happens if I miss a group session?

Although we encourage you to attend as many group sessions as possible to get the most out of this group, we realize that life happens and sometimes you can't make every session! If you have to miss a week, do not sign up for that date.

How many people are in the group?

This group will have up to 8 group members.
