Join our upcoming June 2023 workshop!

Saturday, June 24th from 9:00am-11:00am

Located at our Peachtree Corners office

This experiential workshop is for ADHD kids (ages 7-12) and their parent(s)!

We will focus on increasing connection between parents and kids by providing education, experience, and take-home skills on communication and regulation. You will learn, move, grow, and connect!

Parents and kids will separately:

  • Learn about the research behind nervous system regulation, how it impacts ADHD symptoms, and WHY it is so important for connection with others

  • Understand how & why becoming dysregulated impacts you physically, energetically, mentally, and emotionally

  • Build self-awareness around your mind & body

  • Learn actionable and practical tools to help you regulate better, communicate better, and connect better as a family

Together, parents and kids will:

  • Practice new communication strategies and ways to connect in real time!

And the best perk of all... supporting your family's mental health & physical health simultaneously!

If you have ever felt like...

  • you're constantly struggling with communication with your child

  • you have difficulty transitioning after a fight or disagreement with them

  • your own frustration and exhaustion get in the way of being present with your child

  • you find yourself constantly reacting out of irritation and anger, and you don't know why

Or if you have ever thought...

  • that you just can't seem to get your kid to follow the rules and boundaries you're setting

  • that it's hopeless and it's going to be this way throughout adolescence

Or if you're just curious about learning how to best support your child with ADHD...

Then this workshop is for you!

Our goal is for you to walk away with a better understanding of how to feel more connected when you're together - in good times and in hard times. Your group leaders, Amber Amick and Rebecca Barron, will guide you and your child through this experiential workshop to help your whole family feel more connected and calm together!

Yoga therapy is a holistic healing modality that supports both physical health and mental health through personalized goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices and philosophies.

Similar to psychotherapy, yoga therapy utilizes the support of the therapeutic relationship and the benefits of personalized individual care to focus on supporting clients in somatic healing, mind-body wellness, and truly taking care of the whole self.

While our yoga therapists are not trained psychotherapists, their services integrate seamlessly with psychotherapy as an adjunct service that supports clients in achieving long-lasting healing.

In Yoga Therapy sessions, we focus on 5 Pillars:

1. breathwork (pranayama)

2. movement (asana)

3. mindfulness & meditation (pratyahara)

4. self-reflection (yamas & niyamas)

5. whole system health advocacy

Using these five pillars in each session, Yoga Therapy will offer you the opportunity to increase your self-awareness in your mind and body, release trapped emotions in your body, and grow physical strength and self-confidence while supporting your unique goals!
